I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. We spent our morning sipping on coffee, opening presents, and playing with Luke. My mom loves her Jeffrey Campbell sandals and Williams-Sonoma 25-Year Barrel-Aged Balsamic vinegar. It can only make her bruschetta better, which I didn't think was possible. My sister loves her David Yurman Blue Topaz ring, Michael Kors wrap bracelet, and Free People pieces. You can guess who the last gift was from! My mom even thought of me because I have a dog. She bought me some greeting cards, a new makeup bag, and a journal. Gifts galore!
We then ventured to Soho House for a delicious lunch in their gorgeous roof garden. We drank Bloody Marys, Mimosas, and Bellinis, followed by our yummy meals. My sister's grilled cheese loaded with short rib took the cake! All seven of us took photos in the photo booth, which was quite a feat. They turned out hilarious! After lunch, we moved inside to look at the gorgeous views of the city and eat ice cream and just-baked chocolate chip cookies. I had chocolate and coconut ice cream and was in heaven. Everyone took bites! With a full belly, I definitely dozed off on the comfy couches.
Overall it was a perfect Mother's Day. I'm so happy I was able to venture to California with my mom to see my sister and her family. Little Luke is growing so fast, which makes me sad to pack up the car and head back to Arizona in a little bit. I better see him soon!
