My mom and I had the most amazing time in New York City. There was so much to do and it was so much more fast-paced than Arizona. I really enjoyed it, except the weather was so so cold. It's not something I used to and there were a few times I thought I had frost bite and was going to lose my fingers or toes.

We ate our way through the city, seeking shelter and warmth, but also amazing food. We ate...
-amazing breakfasts at Sarabeth's (and once with my dear New Yorker, Jessica)
-Thai at Topaz
-sushi at Nobu
-pizza at Ray's and another little Italian place
-the biggest sandwiches at Carnegie Deli
-frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity
-mouth-watering steak at Del Frisco's
-cupcakes at Little Cupcake Bakeshop
-cocktails in Grand Central Station
-burgers, fries, and shakes Shake Shack
-wine, cheese, and meats at Eataly...oh and salted caramel gelato
-pasta at Giovannia Rana
-pistachio gelato at Chelsea Market
-lunch at The Grey Dog
-all the pastries and cookies we could get our hands on at other bakeries

Our stomachs were so happy, but now that I am home I definitely see salads and cardio in my immediate future. Although, we did walk quite a bit through the city, especially shopping on 5th Ave.

We saw Mammamia! and Of Mice and Men. Two completely different Broadway shows, but both so entertaining. We sang and danced along to Mammamia! and got lost in Chris O' Dowd's acting in Of Mice and Men. If you visit NYC in the next couple months, you have to see Of Mice and Men. It's a limited engagement, and just incredible. We even got to see him leave the theater, along with Jason Segel, which was awesome. We braved the cold and numbed our fingers for some pictures of them.

We went on a tour of Wall Street, the 9/11 Memorial, Battery Park, and the Statue of Liberty. The temperatures were extremely low, but we survived. The city has some rich history and amazing sights. The 9/11 Memorial was haunting, but extremely beautiful. It was an incredible feeling to stand where something so tragic and heartbreaking happened.

We went up the Empire State Building, which I've always wanted to do because I feel like it's such a must when you go to New York. The views were incredible and we got a workout going up the stairs. We also went to the Guggenheim and saw an amazing display by Carrie Mae Weems. Seriously good pictures and the writing she pairs along side her photographs is something you can get lost in.

We walked through Central Park. It did start to rain, but we braved it as much as we could to see the sights. There were so many squirrels. I loved it! They have no fear when it comes to getting close to people, but they are picky little butt heads. They didn't want my blueberry muffin or my mom's butter croissant.

We went to the Bowery Ballroom and saw the craziest show. Crazy as in bat shit crazy, not crazy good. It was definitely a show I will always remember and look back and laugh on. My mom and I practically peed our pants running out of the venue and all the way home in the cab. The venue smelled of Lysol and weed. BLECH!

We went to Kleinfeld, which was a total dream come true. It was everything I imagined it would be. The cast and crew of Say Yes to the Dress were so friendly and accommodating. They made the experience very enjoyable and I'm so glad we did it. The dresses were stunning and I can't believe I was able to shop for wedding dresses there. I've always wanted to. Definitely a dream. I will keep you posted on the air date!

I hope I didn't leave anything out. If I did, my mom will probably shoot me a text and say "Add this in! You forgot!" I'm so happy we had a mother-daughter trip that turned out so well. Thank you, mama! You planned out a perfect trip and I'm so glad we did it. Love you!

Here are some snapshots...
