I had to get my paws on her published works. My favorite among them being Spilling Open: The Art of Becoming Yourself, a colorful journal filled with doodles, collages, and thoughts. The honesty of the book is compelling. You will want to hang the pages on your walls as artwork, and little constant reminders for you to love, you. I suggest you pick up a copy and indulge.
Here are some quotes and pretty pages:
"I have learned that I am enough...
I have learned that no one else can
I have learned that no one else can
love me - for me."
"I think when I can get to that place of self-acceptance and a sense of calm assurance in who I genuinely am, if I can believe in who I am, what I need, what I deserve and what I must express, then I can let go of the struggle of self-acceptance based on their approval of my beauty, boobs, thighs, or sketchbooks. I will dare to do just what I do. Be just what I am. And dance whenever I want to.”
"I learn and relearn that silence doesn’t protect me.  An unexpressed life is very painful to myself and those I love.  Don’t love halfway.  I am learning that loving all the way can ache and sting, but loving halfway doesn’t keep me safe."
"The truth is we all ache.
We all have growing pains
and wonder if we are
okay and enough + loved.
the thing is - we are.
and wonder if we are
okay and enough + loved.
the thing is - we are.
 Really.
Without the silver shoes
and leopard print sheets.
and leopard print sheets.
We are enough
without all the things we buy
to make us much more
than we are or need to be
we are simple
and complex
and rare
as is."
to make us much more
than we are or need to be
we are simple
and complex
and rare
as is."
"Belong to yourself."
