Starting the Morning Right

*This post is sponsored by FAGE; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

My mornings look a little different than most. As most of you know I teach online ESL classes to students in China, and the time difference has me up in the wee morning hours. By the time I'm done teaching, I'm starving and I can hear the rest of my family downstairs in the kitchen starting on their breakfast.

I like to put together something easy, but nutritious. To me, a healthy breakfast sets the tone for the rest of the day. Getting a good amount of protein helps me feel fuller longer, which is why I love the FAGE Total Plain Greek yogurt. Not only is it high in protein (1 cup of the 2% has 23 grams), but it's super creamy and tastes delicious. I go for the 2% fat content, but they also have 0% and 5%.

There are plenty of ways I use FAGE yogurt, but my favorite way is in a bowl with fruit, granola, and a drizzle of honey. Since there is no added sugar, I like to add in that little bit of sweetness with my toppings. Berries and kiwi are my go-to fruit choices!

I wish I could say I eat my breakfast in peace, but if you have a toddler you know that's laughable. Jax loves having bites of my breakfast, even though he's already had his own. I'm happy he likes these little yogurt parfaits because it's extra protein for him. Plus, FAGE is Non-GMO Project Verified, so he and I, are getting the best.

Other ways I use FAGE Total Plain Greek yogurt:
  • smoothies
  • baking desserts
  • cream sauces
  • dips
  • dressings (Ranch dressing is my favorite!)
  • fro-yo or popsicles
  • sub for sour cream
What are ways YOU use plain Greek yogurt?
